With over 40 years in the tackle industry, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of game & sports fishing. From tackling giant barramundi in the Gulf to the finesse required in light tackle billfish tournaments, Rob’s experience is vast and varied. Whether fishing the reef for Spanish mackerel or bottom fishing for coral trout and nannygai, Rob loves all aspects of fishing. His passion however is chasing barramundi locally and in the remote Gulf of Carpentaria or Cape York river systems. Rob’s journey in the tackle industry began under the tutelage of father Jack Erskine, a true pioneer and respected expert in the industry. Rob now serves as Manager of Cairns Tackle World where he continues to uphold the traditions of excellence instilled in him from the best, along with his own extensive wealth of knowledge.

Simon known as Hollywood is a barramundi enthusiast who loves targeting giants in Lake Tinaroo and lure casting the Western Cape river systems. He is equally home on the reef, pursuing Spanish mackerel and light tackle billfish. Hollywood, is not only an accomplished angler, he is also an accredited scuba diver and spearfishing enthusiast.
